Science in our daily life

Hello guys!

I'm here to introduce you about some real life example of science fact which we do in our life but we don't know scientifically why that's happening or reason behind it.

Let me give you an example. If we want to cut handkerchief or towel, we just create a notch by scissor as shown in picture.

After the creating notch, we just apply force by our hands & we can cut the towel or handkerchief etc easily.

This is what we do to cut the towel but Don't know the scientific phenomenon behind it. The name of that scientific phenomenon is Stress Concentration.
